Hello everyone!
Welcome to Part 2 of Kuala Lumpur Diaries! You could expect a lot of blooms, brunches, glitzy malls and colourful pictures! So brace yourselves!
Firstly, I would like to say a massive thanks to everyone! Thanks for reading my posts and for the support.
Now, onto the post.
After NYE under the Twin Towers (that is 30/12), the next few days were spent for my passport renewal.
PUTRAJAYA
Putrajaya is the federal administrative centre of Malaysia. This place in lined with government offices, buildings, etc. All official works are done in this place. My passport renewal was done here too.
If you just stroll around the streets you would find exquisite buildings.
BATU CAVES
Batu Caves, one of Kuala Lumpur's most frequented tourist attractions, is a limestone hill comprising three major caves and a number of smaller ones. It is a 100-year-old Hindu Murugan Temple which attracts a lot of people of different nationalities.
We climbed up 272 RAINBOW STEPS to reach the temple. I took short a break every now and then but it wasn't that tough though.
AND there is a dress code for this temple; you should wear clothes below your knee level. If not, they would give you a towel to wrap around.
GENTING STRAWBERRY LEISURE FARMS
After that, we were headed to Genting Highlands. We rented a car that day. Luckily, the driver was a Tamilian. He suggested us this place. On the way to Genting Highlands, there is a Strawberry Farm.
It is a colourful farm where you can pick your own strawberries from the orchards and purchase them. One of its most picturesque features is the Lavender Garden.
You could find all things related to STRAWBERRY & LAVENDER in this place!
GENTING HIGHLANDS
I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS PLACE!
Genting Highlands is a cool hill station set amidst the cool, mountain air and a 100-million-year-forest. It offers indoor and outdoor Theme Parks, a CASINO and a freaking INSANE MALL!(yes, I couldn't believe it too. I was totally awestruck seeing this place)
It also features three and five-star properties with an array of eateries, cafes, bars and SO many cool shops!
There was also a Gaming Arcade inside. Me and my sister thoroughly enjoyed ourselves!
BUKIT BINTANG
Bukit Bintang is well-regarded as Kuala Lumpur's trendiest shopping and entertainment district offering everything from sleek Shopping Centres and Five-star Hotels to All-day Restaurants and vibrant Nightclubs. This place is all hustle-y and bustle-y!
I am totally head over heels for this place!❤
TWIN TOWERS SKY BRIDGE
The Petronas Twin Towers is connected by a 58-metre-long, double-decker Sky Bridge joined at the 41st and 42nd floors.
Everytime we came to KL, we tried to visit this place but in vain. But this time, we took the plunge and booked a ticket beforehand from Chennai.
It is an amazing view to see the vehicles moving from above! I realized how small we are in this huge world.
PETALING STREET IN CHINATOWN
Petaling Street, the centre of Kuala Lumpur's original Chinatown, maintains much of its traditional atmosphere, particularly at night when vendors fan out their merchandise along the street.
This place has so many things to offer. From clothes, souvenirs, baggage, accessories to gems, incense, food and much much more stuff!
MALLS
There are a whale of malls in KL. It would take you, probably, a zillion days to visit every single mall. Nonetheless, we managed to visit a few.
Pavilion Mall
Mid Valley Mall
Mid Valley is the closest mall to our place and which we love to most. It also has Daiso, a Japanese store which has so many cute stuff for only RM5.60 (approx. Rs.95).
Would you believe me if I say we went to this mall 3 times in 15 days? That is how much the mall has to offer.
Central Market
Well, this place is not ACTUALLY a mall but it is a shopping place!
HERE COMES THE MOST EXCITING PART!!!!
~FOOD FOOD FOOD~
Well, I had to segregate a separate division for FOOD! Yes, that is how much I love food. FOOD IS MY BAE FOREVER! Food, Malaysian and Chinese in particular, always makes me drool.
My tongue is yearning to taste those delicious dishes ever since we came back!
Malaysian and Chinese cuisines are my all time favourites! I would visit KL just for the food. In KL, you could get different cuisines from Chinese, Taiwanese, Korean, Japanese to Indian.
K-POP
K-POP, which is also known as Korean Pop, was all over in Kuala Lumpur!!!! THE FANGIRL INSIDE ME WAS SO SO SO HAPPY AND EXCITED! There was also a shop solely
dedicated to K-Pop!
~AND IT WAS A WRAP~
We finally bid goodbye to KL (not the last goodbye though). We left to Chennai with heavy hearts (I don't know about the others but I had a heavy heart). I LOVE KL SO MUCH! I can't trade this place for anything (Chennai is always first, obviously). As a whole, I had an eclectic experience. I can't wait to visit Malaysia again!
